EBSCO introduces "Zero Results Prevention"

Two EBSCO representatives met with library staff members this morning to highlight new products and features they have introduced or are planning to unveil in the near future. I will post news about each feature as it becomes available.

One highlight from this morning's meeting was how EBSCO has changed it's default search algorithm to prevent researchers from obtaining "Zero Results" hit lists. If a submitted search string does not result in any hits, EBSCO databases now continue searching using their "SmartText Searching" functionality.
